ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Carbon Neutral Cremation

Investing in our shared future

At Solace, we think there’s a better way. It is in that spirit that we’ve partnered with 3Degrees, a firm that helps organizations around the world achieve renewable energy and decarbonization goals, to make all of our cremations carbon neutral. Carbon offsets enable organizations like ours to reduce our environmental impact by supporting projects that are actively working to reduce, absorb or prevent carbon and other emissions from entering the atmosphere. These projects can range from forestry conservation efforts to technology that captures gas before it is released at landfills and farms. Carbon offsets are tools that help make these projects financially viable.

We are very proud of the fact that every Solace cremation is carbon neutral at no additional expense to the families we serve. This purchase is an important step in Solace’s sustainability path.

SOLACE CREMATIONS ARE CARBON NEUTRAL
\
Our Commitment

Cremation is better for the environment than traditional burial but still has a carbon footprint. We decided early on to do the right thing with the voluntary purchase of carbon offsets.

\
The Cost
We do not pass the cost of the carbon offsets to our customers. Our inclusive price of $895 includes our commitment to making our cremations carbon neutral and doing our part to fight global warming.
\
How it Works

Carbon offsets allow organizations to address both direct operational emissions as well as indirect emissions from upstream and downstream sources. Our partner organization uses the revenue generated from the sale of carbon offsets to help fund important emissions reduction and removal projects. Learn more on the 3Degrees website.
