Frequently Asked Questions

Why are multiple disposition permits sometimes needed in CA?

Permits reflect the final disposition (ultimate resting place) of cremated remains and / or portions of cremated
remains. Per CA regulations, a separate permit is required for each person receiving portions of remains (e.g. split portions or keepsake portions) designating the address of each, individual recipient (including cemeteries and scattering at sea). The cost of each permit is $12.
