Lycinda (Cindy) Denise Walker
Lycinda (Cindy) Denise Walker , 68 years old of Warrenton, Oregon passed away on November 10th, 2022 in Portland Oregon surrounded by family. Lycinda was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Loretta and Donald Walker Sr. on April 12, 1954, and relocated to California in the late 70s. Lycinda was also known as “Sharon” to her family and friends, why Sharon you ask? She liked the name and re-named herself as a child so it just stuck.
Lycinda worked at the IRS and for the U.S. Postal Service and in her spare time she loved going to yard sales and swap-meets which brought her to her real calling of going into business for herself she even owned a children’s thrift store with her mother. Lycinda was a strong woman with resilience and made a way as an entrepreneur. Lycinda also loved volunteering for the Salvation Army and was honored as volunteer of the year during her time with them. Lycinda grew up in The House Of God Church, loved the Lord and was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, she loved to pray for people and share the gospel with others.
Lycinda is preceded in death by her mother and father; survived by children Glenn Alexander Whye Jr., Corri Lindquist and spouse Eric Lindquist; grandchildren Gabrielle Mayfield and spouse John Mayfield, Christopher Whye, Briana Crosby and Jasmine Regist; great-grandchild Loretta Mayfield; siblings Crystal Salmi and spouse Charles Salmi, Donald Walker Jr., spouse Epi Walker, countless cousins, family and niece Vanessa.
Per the request of Lycinda there will be no funeral service, family will be contacted for future celebrations of life in both California and Oregon.
